Areas of Practice.
Accounts Payable (AP)
Accounts payable are current liabilities that will be paid off within one year. They are short-term debt for items such as office supplies, taxes payable, and short-term loans.
Accounts payable can have a positive impact on your small business’s profitability, if managed correctly. I’ll make sure your bills are paid on time, leading to trust between you and your suppliers.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Accounts receivable involves invoicing customers and tracking payment of those invoices. It often requires you to follow up on overdue payments.
Let’s face it — you’re not a charity. You need to get paid, and the only way to get money is by making sure your accounts receivable is managed correctly. I’ll make sure your invoices are sent on time, and that your money is received when requested.
Bank reconciliations
A bank reconciliation is the process of matching the balances in an entity's accounting records for a cash account to the corresponding information on a bank statement, and should be completed in regular intervals.
Bank reconciliations need to be done on a regular basis, and are crucial in preventing your small business from several pitfalls, including overdrawing money, or becoming a victim of fraud. I’ll make sure your bank statements match the bookkeeping records — and if they don’t, I’ll find the solution.
Payroll
Payroll needs to be accurate and on time to keep your employees happy, as well all source deductions need to be remitted to the appropriate vendors in a timely manner.
Your employees need to get paid, and it may be difficult trying to balance your workload and making sure there’s no errors in their payments. I’ll make sure everything runs smoothly between you and your employees.
Sales tax
Taxes can be such a grey area when dealing with new products and shipping out of province. I can help by processing and remitting your taxes on time.
